National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – September 30

On September 30, Integra recognized the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by closing our offices and pausing our regular work to honour this important day.

This day invites all Canadians to reflect on the ongoing impact of residential schools, to listen to the stories of Survivors, their families, and communities, and to commit to the work of reconciliation. It is also known as Orange Shirt Day, a reminder that “Every Child Matters.”

At Integra, we acknowledge the importance of deepening our understanding of Indigenous histories and experiences. Building awareness is one step in our collective journey toward truth, healing, and meaningful reconciliation.

We encourage our staff, individuals, families, and community partners to continue learning, reflecting, and engaging in conversations that support reconciliation, not only on September 30, but every day.
