Home Sharing
Home Share Providers
Becoming a Home Share Provider is a lifestyle choice rather than a job, that can be both challenging and extremely rewarding.
What will I be Responsible for?
In general, Home Share Providers are responsible for providing a comfortable home setting. This may include providing nutritious meals, transportation to appointments, arranging access to family and recreational activities, ensuring access to community activities, and supervision based on the needs of the person you are supporting.
The people who are supported in Home Share have diverse abilities such as intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, or another condition that requires supervision and support. Some adults may be very independent and use the bus to go out on their own. Some may have a steady job, while others will need more intensive support.
Home Share Providers are required to maintain records and documentation regarding the services and supports being provided. As part of the process for preparing to welcome someone into your home, a Coordinator will work with you to make sure you have all of the information and materials you need to be successful. Our Coordinators will work with you in choosing the best person, whose needs match your lifestyle!
